Berry Sauce with Rum


I have such an exciting news to share with you....I am an official vendor at the Farmer's market in Northridge :) I've been working on getting my license for the last 3 months now, since I got back from Iran and I  finally got it...yeahy for me :) that means starting Aug. 27th I'll be offering my pastries at Northridge Farmer's Market. To celebrate this little victory, I want to think of a prize/giveaway for you :) stay tuned for more info on how to participate & check ZoZo's facebook page in the upcoming weeks.  So on Wednesday, I made a trip to the Farmer's market to see what equipment /tools I need to set up the booth ... being in the Farmer's market means picking up fresh could I resist right?? I love berries...don't you?

Now, I have more berries than I could eat and I need to put them in a good use before they go bad...I found this recipe and I think I just love it.

You can use this sauce for anything ..put it on top of pancakes, waffles, add it to your ice cream or to your no bake cheesecake :)

Rum berry Sauce is sweet with a hint of rum and tartness add a spoonful of deliciousness to your ice cream, pancakes, waffles….



  • 2 cups of mix berries (I used strawberry & blueberry)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cold water + 2 tbsp cornstarch mix together
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 cup rum


Mix berries,water, sugar, lemon juice, & rum in a medium saucepan and bring to boil on medium heat & stir frequently. Lower the heat and slowly add the mix of cornstarch with water to berries while stirring, be gentle not to crush berries. Let it simmer for less than 5 minutes or until the sauce is thick. Remove from heat and let it cool
