How to Make Mini Chocolate cups

These mini chocolate cups are a perfect way to serve summer fruits. Making them is easy, fun, and you don't need to bake anything or turn on your oven. This would be a fun activity to do with your little ones at home. I'm sure they would love it.

Add vegetable shortening to candy melts gives the chocolate an excellent shine

Ingredients & tools: 

  • a candy mold
  • microwave
  • candy melts
  • vegetable shortening
  • a food safe brush
  • a bowl of whipping cream
  • fresh berries

Process:

Add 1 teaspoon shortening to candy melts, microwave for 30 seconds, and stir

Drop a tablespoon of melted chocolate into the mold & use the food brush to brush the sides of the mold with chocolate. Make sure you have a thick layer of chocolate all around

Once you're done, tap the mold gently on the surface to get rid of any air bubbles

Place the mold in the freezer for up to 2 hours

Once out of the freezer, avoid touching the chocolate as your body temperature will cause them to melt very quickly

Gently tap the mold and squeeze the bottom of the mold to release the cups

Fill the cups with whipped cream & top with berries
